Engineers and scientist have been working in San Diego since 2008 on a major water treatment process that will enable treated water for the expanding population of San Diego. It can filtrate up to 800,000 m³ of water every day, which will be double the size as when it was first built. The facility has been built in phases in order to maximize its productivity, with a few more stages still needing to be built(Schilling). This revolutionary machine has taken engineers a little less than 10 years to make, but the pay offs will be worth it in the end.

If this is really completed and works as intended, this could be an amazing accomplishment for humanity and would help the environment in a huge way. I am going to look more into this.
